Ohoopee River Campground is a peaceful, family-owned and operated getaway nestled alongside the winding waters of the Ohoopee River in Lyons, Georgia. Located just a short drive from Vidalia—home of the world-famous Vidalia Onion Festival—and within easy reach of Savannah, Dublin, and Statesboro, we’re an ideal destination for a weekend escape, a family vacation, or a longer stay in southeast Georgia.

Since opening in 2018, owners Billy and Anna Beth have been dedicated to offering a clean, quiet, and family-friendly camping experience. Whether you're visiting for a relaxing riverside stay, a kayaking adventure, or a holiday celebration, you’ll find something to love here.

We welcome a wide range of guests, including families, retirees, snowbirds, long-term RVers, weekenders, and kayakers. Our campground features pull-through RV sites with full hookups (water, sewer, and electric), shaded tent sites with water and power, and rental cabins and campers for those who prefer to pack light. We’re also pet-friendly, with just a few exceptions for our rentals.

Guests can enjoy swimming and fishing just steps from their campsite, and our kayak rentals and shuttle service are a favorite during the warmer months when the river is just right. Throughout the year, we host popular events like patriotic Fourth of July celebrations and spooky Halloween weekends, plus karaoke nights, outdoor movies, and more. We're actively expanding our event calendar to bring even more weekend fun your way!

The campground features a gated entrance, private bathhouses, coin-operated laundry, a playground, a walking trail, and an event pavilion available for private rentals, like parties and small gatherings. With so many amenities and a laid-back, welcoming vibe, it’s no wonder guests often call us a "hidden gem."
